Enjoying a wonderfully laid-back, comatose, close-knit-feeling Christmas eve… dinner was like Thanksgiving Round II – turkey + all the works… and I’ve just been lounging about with The Bourne Identity (the book, that is) and the occasional Ande’s mint. Delicious.
My parents – ahem, Santa – got an early start on the presents, so they’re under the tree now, but I’m being a Good Little Child and not peeking… I don’t want to ruin the surprise, that excellent feeling when you walk downstairs in the morning to the radiantly green and silver and red tree surrounded by presents, the snow gleaming outside (though tomorrow is supposed to be relatively ghastly – rainy and such – unfortunately). The cinnamon rolls to follow, then the slow process of unpacking the stockings throughout the day, culminating in Christmas Dinner(!) and, undoubtedly, a movie or two afterward. Then sleep, with visions of sugarplums dancing in our heads… or, depending on what you read before you go to sleep, Jason Bourne frantically racing around Paris in a desperate effort to recall (and destroy) his past… haha.
Merry Christmas/happy holidays to everyone!
PS: so ridiculously drowsy and droopy, and I still have to make it through (or even to!) midnight mass… usually I’d be fine, but I’ve been going to bed before 10 lately, which is excellent for school but not so much for normal life. Hmm. A dilemma.
PPS: the tubes are being dumb and not letting me upload my oh-so-fabulous photos of today… (Nothing exciting. A copy of Vanity Fair read by electric candlelight in the morning (after being rudely woken at an absurd hour by the cat), a turkey and some wine glasses, some candles, and a tree… groundbreaking).
PPPS: *IMPORTANT NOTE* It’s not too late to get me a very, very last minute gift! These Calvin Klein carley pumps are perfect. First spotted on Taghrid and the Clothes Horse, now = me <3. So. Size 10, if you’d please. 😉
