The first time I ever caught wind of Kinder Aggugigi was on FabSugar about 25 minutes ago. I saw this photo –
– and was instantly reminded of Galliano’s Spring line last year (with his outrageous, 1800s-esque hats in greens and blues), and so I scrolled down and watched the runway video for a minute. A metallic coat, a crazy b&w long floaty dress, and a plethora of out-of-this-world millinery paraded past, and I just had to see the rest.
The rest turned out to be just as mindboggling – a colourful array of wonderfully mismatched dots, stripes, and lace, ranging from puffy miniskirts to trailing floor-length numbers. Psychedelic prints mixed with smart red military jackets, metallic coats over stripes and florals – it was all so whimsical and fantasyland-like, pure fun.
One of the opening looks – more demure and ladylike than the following looks. As the show progressed, so did the intensity of the clothes: from this pale pink to neon hues at the close.
Charlotte di Calypso.
Kim Noorda. Probably my favourite look from the collection – a metallic, [faux?] reptile vest with a fun printed skirt. (And the shoes are pretty sweet too!)
Anastasija K. See how the colours have progressed?
Final thoughts: super fun and whimsical. Great colours and patterns, and you can’t help but LOVE those hats. 🙂
