I can be sort of a 60’s whore – music, movies, clothes, celebs – so when I read that Karen Walker was a 60s seaside retreat, I smiled very, very widely and quickly navigated over to NYmag.com. Mmm. I saw bucket hats and very 60s-esque prints, minidresses and a few suits without even enlarging the first thumbnail. Bright colours, eccentric hats… Let’s take a closer look, shall we?
Heidi Verster. A classic look.
Hyoni Kang. Navy + yellow 🙂
Kelli Lumi. Bright yellow rain jacket! That’s one I’d actually wear, haha.
Rachel Clark. Funny thing is, one of my running friends is tall, blonde, and ridiculously skinny and her name is Rachel Clark. More classic stripes.
Constance Jablonski.
Anastasia Kusnetsova. Round sunnies = iconic of the 60s, which I love.
Skye Stracke. More navy stripes!
Toma Barkova. Ladylike, navy & ruffles. I like the belt with it.
Angelika Kocheva. The Perfect Jacket! And I like the ruffles underneath as well.
Mathilde Frachon. There are so many just perfectly simple looks in this it’s ridiculous… and good…
Kelli Lumi. Polka dots + stripes for the seaside sounds good to me!
Constance Jablonski. Draped and belted stripes.
Rachel Clark. Preppy stripes make a second appearance on the runways (Al. Wang first).
Skye Stracke. Mixing nautical and preppy looks – and of course that crazy straw bucket hat. Tower hat, more like.
The sunnies! The hat! The hoodie! The dots!
Toma Barkova. I actually sighed in happiness when I saw this. A super-frouffy (yes, frouffy) minidress in psychedelic print. I… must…. have…
Angelika Kocheva. Bright blue and yellow, an eccentric English 60’s vibe…
Heidi Verster. More psychedelic print!
Final thoughts: whimsical, fun, 60’s-inspired, wearable, very Springlike… all make for a hit!
