Once upon a time there was a girl. She had good grades, good friends, a good boyfriend, a good job, and was going to a good college. For the longest time, she’d known what she was going to do, and when, and how it would pan out. She knew the long run. Then one day, she opened her eyes and realized that she didn’t want to run the long run. So she packed a duffel bag and drove, drove long and far, sleeping in the car and taking pictures. She wasn’t sure where she was going, but she sure as hell liked this better than where she was coming from. One day, she found herself in Southern CA. She loved the sun and the sea and the lifestyle so she opened a henna booth along a friendly boardwalk. Now she is happy.
the end beginning
Once upon a time there was a girl. She had good grades and good friends and was going to a good college. Her life was all planned and set to go. Then she realized that she didn’t want to do all that, so she drove away in the night and opened a henna booth on a sandy boardwalk in southern CA. now she is happy.
I wrote that in church, in my head… due to (obvious) frustration with parents/small town/hick/life/college… super fun.
