Kick off the evening with some street style (and I’ll undoubtedly finish with some too):
Ahh, beige sweater and oxford wedges. Love. (Yes, that’s Adeline R.)
Rumi of fashiontoast in perfect cutoffs and perfect tank… both of which I have yet to locate for myself. The shorts are going to take some work… I’m envisioning multiple pairs randomly scrounged up from SalArmy and hacked to my heart’s content…
So springy and Easter-y.
Sweet Rick Owens coat.
Ehh, so not technically ‘street’ style, but I like this photo… inspiring me to sketch some really light knit/cotton harem pants, perfect for summer when paired with a bright sports bra (which, when added with loose tanks, is positively what I live in come summer).
Why? WHY? Fuzzy leopard-print sneakers are bad enough… the label does not make the shoe. Sorry, Louboutin.
Following Tao’s bowl-over-the-head drastic chop, Daul Kim’s gone and dyed her hair platinum blonde. I’m debating with myself whether this is an edgy, totally different look that’ll set her apart of if it’s just ugly. I can’t decide.
Amazing model: Veruschka, circa the 60s and ever onwards. Plus: her feet are size 13… so there is hope for my size 10s after all!
Teehee. So cool.
I want white bread with loads of margarine right now… randomly…
US VOGUE, Feb. 1966
Look! Look! Tights under shorts! Floppy felt hat!The 70’s are back! YIPPEEE!
Sometimes I think I should’ve been born in the 50s or 60s… I’m such a 70s & 80s child. I could very well be a hippie in the 70s – I hate war and love peace, mon – or an 80s girl. All the way. I’ve got the hair and I love the music. And leggings are comfy. 😉
Oh, for more photos & an article on Veruschka, click ME.
Random spring item: this wonderfully loose, thin sweater tee from F21.
$17.80, Forever21. Also in navy and yellow.
And, as promised, closing out with street style from Lookbook and Chictopia:
When I saw this I thought of that one movie with that guy, he’s either a spaceman or a dead/zombie guy… Dr. something? No, umm… Beetlejuice!
Today is all about crazy patterns and textures.
Again… my tulle obsession shows through. (I think I’ll run up to JoAnn’s tomorrow and get tulle, finally… and grab a Panera’s application while I’m there…)
I just like the racerback tank. I’ve fallen in love with them… they show off your shoulders & back, which – in my opinion – are/can be really sexy without being trashy. (That, and I seem to have become addicted to working out my arms and shoulders/back recently…)
I like the pants & shoes… agh, why must I have runner legs? I’d wear flats and oxfords all the time, mais… il n’est pas etre. Mes genoux sont tres laids… ils ont beaucoup des scars des accidents courir. (My knees are ugly, in my opinion, especially b/c they’re all banged up from various running incidents.)
I love her hair and her style.
I’m in love with her shoes & shorts.
So many people are now sporting girly, white, floaty lace dresses with leather jackets. So cliche now… but it still survives.
Huh, a red lace dress. Sweeeet.
Wow I spend waaaay too much time browsing street style. But… it’s so inspiring and cool. I can’t help it. Haha… *pssh*. Bedtimes, who needs ’em?
Did I mention you’re reading the blog of a now licensed driver? Woot! First place I drove… the ice cream place to drop off my application. *Fingers crossed*
Yawwwnnnn. Mais ouaaiisss…. hopefully tomorrow I’ll drive down (for the 3rd or 4th time this break) to Ann Arbor and hit F21 again… maybe AA… maybe.
