A real downer to start your week (sorry): Oliver Theyskens has officially left the building (the building being Nina Ricci). The official statement was that his exit was through “mutual consent”… all we can hope is that he goes ahead with his own line. Yippee! (Maybe.) He will be replaced by Peter Copping (of Louis Vuitton).
Random celeb news: MK Olsen’s finally ditched the boho-chic look in favour of a more sophisticated style. Key word: finally.
In Funny Fashion news, the auditions for ANTM in Manhattan on Saturday went very, very awry. You know, the one with all short people? Anyway, some bonehead yelled “It’s a bomb!” when a nearby car overheated, causing mass chaos… a veritable riot. 3 people were arrested for inciting a riot and 6 were transported to a hospital for minor injuries.
