…gorgeous, elegant, and more-than-slightly Victorian/old England, McQueen’s Pre-Fall ’09 collection uses rich colours, luxurious material (of course), and intricate details to make one of my favorite Pre-Fall lines, ever. He also reintroduced the corset… sort of… although I really doubt anyone will actually take to wearing them again.
But the collection is still beautiful.
Love this colour & the gloves…
Nice embroidery, but I don’t really like this look too much. (Gasp…)
Menswear inspired? Quite possibly. Extremely chic? Definitely.
This has sort of a turn-of-then-century feel to it. One of my favorite pieces.
This makes me want a cool Victorian cane really badly!
Sort of a mosaic/stained glass window from a church… and again, love the gloves. I’m glad to see gloves make a triumphant return to the runways, along with their counterparts, Really Amazingly Gorgeous Hats.
Ahhh! CANE! This one has sort of Japanese floral going on, combined with a very Victorian upper (puff sleeves and high collar). I like this one a lot too. So if anyone needs a gift idea for me… 😛 haha I wish.

I love accessories from the Victorian times – the elegant gloves, amazing hats (men and women), canes (men only… back then), and parasols.
All righty. Look du jour:
Marni // Spring 2008. Not only do I like the dress, but I have been futilely searching for Those Wedges for a year. Agh. Another gift idea. 😛
