“‘Just leave us to concentrate on our exams,” said a student who would give only her first name, Dina. “I’m not expecting anything. Americans don’t like us and we don’t like them. They think we’re terrorists, and we don’t like them because of what they’re doing in Iraq.’” -NYT
Well, some of us don’t like what [...]

Ah, had I not messed up my hip, I would’ve completed a half marathon this morning. Sad.
Feeling very light and sunny and exercise-y.

Still thinking about cameras, clothes, and writing. I need:
Nikon D40!

Except with a couple different lenses… wide angle, fisheye, macro (err, maybe [...]

started out so clean and pretty
now all hot and sweaty
makeup smeared, mind astray
slouch down on the couch and fling your heels away
lean back and rest your head
for just a minute

Ah, walks in the woods at night and campfires late into the night… just a few preemptive summer activities. The only downside: the telltale smokey smell of campfire tends to linger around for at least a day afterward, no matter how hard or thoroughly you scrub your hair. Hmmm.
Also, I dunno about you, but I [...]

Another relatively dreary day, continuing the streak of London-esque weather. Hmmm. (At least I don’t feel as guilty for furiously blog surfing, ogling clothes and shoes, and plotting my next shopping extravaganza… (I just need the last few items to top off my ’summer basics’ collection… oh, and a camera…)
Feeling inspired by: ice cream, vintage [...]

Yep, for about the past 4 or 5 days it’s been cloudy/drizzly/foggy/humid/some bizarre combination of the 4. Great running weather though – 60 degrees, a pinch of humidity, and a light mist. Mmmm. (Just did an easy 4, my running-partner-in-crime-du-jour K wasn’t feeling too well. Oh well).
Ok, WHAT SEASON are those Chloe elf-like studded booties [...]

Ever had an interview for a job you didn’t really want? I have. Today.
I had one at this local ice cream place (because I haven’t bothered to apply anywhere else… yet… what can I say? I’m not keen on the idea of working during the summer. Babysitting? Pet-or-plant -sitting? No problema (the Spanish-grammatically-correct way). Tutoring [...]

It’s pretending to storm outside. I’m inside with the Grateful Dead and a guitar (and loads of other instruments, we have so many in our house…) Anyway, I’ve got loads of photos and whatnot so… here.
Coco in that spread…

Yup, it’s that time of year. Again, apparently. Today was a near-perfect day: hovering around 70 degrees, alternating between overcast and sunny, just a touch of humidity. Blue sky, singing birds… and one glum, moody, melancholy, tired  exhausted, mopey teenage girl for whom this mood is not that often occuring and is usually related to [...]

Mmm, a nice day… overcast and a bit humid, but warm.
Lately I’ve been… mmm, not quite obsessed, but find my thoughts straying back to a few things, all related; those things are:
Item 1: Really simple, basic chic summer clothes (I’m talking really, super basic: white and grey tanks [loose and fitted], a few colourful ones [...]
